We specialize in providing remote grant writing services to clients across the U.S. and Canada. We use advanced digital tools and platforms to allow our clients and partners to collaborate, innovate, and support each other from anywhere. Together, we're transforming the way funding is done.

15. Are you a contractor or employee?
We operate as independent contractors, providing flexible and cost-effective solutions without the need for employee-related expenses or benefits.

16. Are you qualified to assist organizations in both the U.S. and Canada?
Yes, we specialize in grant writing for both U.S. and Canadian organizations, with expertise in complex funding applications, including infrastructure development, capital investments, and multi-year grants. With experience in U.S. and Canadian non-profit reporting, we help organizations navigate funding opportunities and meet financial reporting requirements seamlessly across both countries.

17. Are you familiar with the U.S. federal grant application process?
Yes, we are highly experienced with the U.S. federal grant application process, including Grants.gov and the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). We are fully registered with Grants.gov and can be added to your organization’s Grants.gov workspace immediately to assist with preparing applications, completing forms, and collaborating on submissions.

When applying for federal grants, your organization will add us as a Grant Participant in your Grants.gov workspace. We assist with drafting, editing, and uploading documents, ensuring compliance with all requirements. If requested, we can also handle the submission process on your behalf, providing a seamless experience from start to finish.

18. Do you provide the necessary tax forms for U.S. organizations?
Yes, we provide a completed Form W-8BEN during the onboarding process to certify our foreign status. Since we are a Canadian-based entity providing services remotely from outside the U.S., our income is considered foreign-sourced under U.S. tax law.

As a result, we do not provide Form W-9, and U.S. organizations are not required to issue us Form 1099-NEC for our payments. The Form 1099-NEC is only required to be issued to U.S.-based contractors. Our invoice is fully deductible against your income, and the W-8BEN serves as the appropriate IRS documentation to confirm our non-U.S. status and ensure compliance with all U.S. tax regulations.

Working with a foreign contractor is just as straightforward as working with a U.S.-based contractor, with no additional tax or reporting complexity. As CPAs in both the U.S. and Canada, we fully understand cross-border reporting and tax regulations, and we're happy to clarify any tax-related questions.

19. Will hiring a non-U.S. grant writer affect our funding eligibility?
No, grant eligibility is typically determined by several key factors, including but not limited to your mission’s alignment with the funder’s objectives and the proposed use of funds—not by who assists with the application. The location of your grant writer, whether in Canada or the U.S., does not impact eligibility.

Additionally, most grants do not allow awarded funds to be used for application preparation. Organizations are typically required to cover grant writing costs from their own administrative budget.
